When the British bookseller William (Hugh Grant) tells his friends why he rejected the high-profile American actress Anna (Julia Roberts), he realizes that it was a mistake and they all sign onto a race through London to reach her before she catches her flight to the US. William makes a quick car journey to the hotel where Anna is holding a press conference in a successful attempt to win her back, ending their love story with a beautiful wedding surrounded by their dearest friends. This final scene of the film "Notting Hill" is re-scored by composer Lora Chow in 2024, with the new music recorded by the Orchestra della Toscana at the Teatro Verdi in Florence, Italy. Human trafficking, or modern slavery, generates about $32 billion a year, making it the third-largest criminal activity in the world after drug and arms trafficking. Monica is one of them. This is her story. This short film is directed by Dimitris Argyriou and re-scored by Lora Chow. The score is recorded live at the Fusion Film Scoring Workshop 2023 in Thessaloniki, Greece. In the music, different motifs represent betrayal, evilness, romance, self-sacrifice, desperation and the loss of self-identity. The main melodic theme recurs in different variations to tell the shocking real-life story of inhumanity that calls for immediate attention and actions.
